allofmp3 alternative
Updated 5/30/07
Thanks to a comment by Rob that mysteriously disappeared from the blog. Another good alternative is legalsounds. For a site that shows other alternatives as well as reviews check out songboom.
I tried MP3sparks the other day and couldn’t get through to the payment info.

For allofmp3.com fans that can no longer purchase music, I think I found a viable alternative mp3sparks.com. I think it’s Allomp3 repackaged.

hi there, yes mp3sparks is online but still rejecting my card so far.
legalsounds.com seems to be quite slow.
yet i reviewed couple of alternatives and found a somewhat “white pearl”. it’s mp3skyline.com.
Well. i was amazed as they say there more than 2 200 000 tracks online and that seems to be true! i’m a house addicted person and i could find almost all in their search (you know it quite hard to browse all their stuff).
check it out and let me know if this alternative is good for you just like for me.
I’ll agree legal sounds does seem a little slow, but when you use the downloader it’s pretty comparable to Allofmp3. MP3skyline looks ok, but I think legalsounds is cheaper (Each song is only $.09) plus it is plain ugly. Sadly, nothing compares with allofmp3/MP3sparks as far as look and feel and ease of use.
A friend of mine said he had the same problem getting MP3sparks to accept his credit card. He went to the message board or emailed someone from the help and they got it straightened out. I have about $20 in my legalsounds bank…so I’ll probably use that up before I make the jump to MP3sparks.
9-6-07, I just used mp3sparks and the link for credit cards is working. It redirects one to Chronopay, where one enters one’s info, then Chronopay automatically returns the client to mp3sparks. So far, so good. Now to try downloading…
log in to mp3sparks.com with your allofmp3 username/password you will see your balance is still there.
http://www.mp3sparks.com is no longer available?? Does anyone know what the new website is? I think the same has happened before when it was http://www.allofmp3.com then changed to http://www.mp3sparks.com. I have $30 in the account - don’t want to lose it..
Thanks.
